The established neighbourhood of Bonnie Doon is rooted in French tradition with the presence of Campus Saint-Jean for more than 100 years. It offers a cultural and historical gathering place for the Francophone and greater Edmonton community. More than 25 years ago the establishment of École Maurice-Lavallée and Paroisse Saint-Thomas D'Aquin added to the services of the neighbourhood.

With the addition of La Cité, a cultural centre to share and celebrate the Francophone culture with all citizens and its nomination as a Business Revitalization Zone designated as The French Quarters, Bonnie Doon has established itself as a central gathering spot with social, educational and professional services for the whole community.

With La Cité at the heart of the French Quarters, Bonnie Doon is a thriving community that offers the perfect mix of culture, convenience and natural scenic backdrops. Centrally located near shopping, cafés, parks and the beautiful Mill Creek Ravine, the community has become one of Edmonton's most desirable neighbourhoods.
